Andrea Para Ph.D.
Andrea Para calls herself an analyst and uses her technical skills to help develop more intelligent patient therapies, specializing in medical devices. She received her PhD from Georgia Institute of Technology in 2012, with a dissertation on platelet interactions that ultimately contribute to heart attacks (high shear thrombosis).
After graduation, Andrea worked for St Jude Medical as a Research and Development Engineer for transcatheter heart valves. She has since relocated to St Louis and founded her own consulting firm, Medivici LLC. Medivici analyzes and supports medical device technology. The majority of her clients are startups or single person initiatives looking to maximize the market potential of their product.
Andrea’s interest in autism developed when the cutest, sweetest autistic child ever joined her circle of friends.
